All You Need Is Love, Oh And An iPad 2 According To Apple's Latest Ad

Whatever it is you're into, the iPad 2 lets you get deeper and more involved than ever before, apparently

This latest commercial for Apple's iPad 2 from TBWA\Media Arts Lab is the first since Steve Jobs sadly died back in October.

Titled 'Love', the ad features a range of different people using the iPad to engage in their passions, including coaching a basketball team, playing in a band, creating a digital painting, designing a car, editing a video, and learning about dinosaurs.

The ad demonstrates the endless usability of the device and I think Apple are on to a winner with this approach to their advertising campaigns.

Let's be honest, no one wants to hear endlessly about specifications and screen size, now do they?  People want to know how they can actually use it.

Well done Apple, keep up the sterling work.

iPhone 4S: Will It Blend?

It seems nothing will satisfy our curious addiction to blending every object on the planet.

Blendtec's Will It Blend series is one of most successful social video campaigns of all time, delivering millions of views and a surge in sales for the Utah company sinc ethey first launched the campaign back in 2006.

And it is showing no signs of slowing down, with the latest video, in which they try to mash up the iPhone 4S, already racking up well over half a million views.

So, on the week the iPhone 4S smashed all sales records with over 4 million handsets being sold on its launch weekend, Blendtec thought it only fair they put this popular new gadget through their rather unusual testing procedure.

The usual rules apply, the gadget gets chucked in the turbo-charged Blendtec blender and put through the paces. So in goes the iPhone 4S, with its latest Siri technology.

The latest video also demonstrates the new free Will It Blend app. If you like expensive gadgets being mindlessly blended, then be sure to check it out.

The question is folks, will it blend? I already know the answer, but would hate to spoil the surprise. So take a look below to find out for yourselves.

Steve Jobs, co-founder and former CEO of Apple, died yesterday, aged 56, after an ongoing battle with pancreatic cancer.

The Meme Machine has but together a tribute to the iconic Apple co-founder in the form of a video chart, which looks back at the most popular videos of all time featuring the man himself, ranked by the number of times they have been shared on Facebook, Twitter and the blogosphere. We have featured the top 10 below.

I have always admired Steve Jobs for his ability to link art and technology together.  Jobs had an astonishing design vision, which has transformed the digital world as we know it today.

Some 35 years after setting up a small company called Apple, Jobs has now left behind one of the globe’s most innovative and powerful super brands.

He has also left us with many fantastic quotes and we can only thank him for all the ground-breaking work he has done, the i-generation he has started and the legacy he has left behind.

RIP Steve Jobs.

The Day The iPhone 5 Didn't Cometh

For those of you who may not have heard yet, the highly-anticipated iPhone 5 ended up in fact being an iPhone 4s

The latest Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) event was the first without Steve Jobs. His replacement CEO, Tim Cook took to the stage yesterday, in front of a frenzy of iPad/iPhone wielding Apple developers, who were all ears in anticipation of the latest iPhone news.

Cook is famously an inventory guy. That’s how he made his name at Apple, due to his knowledge and understanding of the life cycles of products. This iPhone 4s is seemingly a progressive and tactical release from Apple.

So, the iPhone 4s it is. What's on offer, well, the new phone does boast a dual-core A5 processing chip, which delivers even more power than it's predecessor, lots more in fact. There is also an all new 8MP camera with all-new optics, which can also shoot 1080p HD video. Sadly, however the exterior design is nothing to shout about, in fact it's identical to the iPhone 4.

One massive step forward in technology is the introduction of Siri. This latest advance is a big claim for the tech giants, who believe the new functionality will allow you to control your new phone with your voice. It's that advanced in fact, that it will not only understand what you say, it knows what you mean.

It appears that Apple are providing users with the functionality of a personal assistant or even a friend? I wonder what the voice will sound like? Maybe we will see a wave of Stephen Hawking sounding mobile assistants taking to people.

So in celebration of these exciting new mobile tech times, we have put together a chart of hilarious Apple spoof adverts from over the years.

Which ones did you fall for? Surely the iPhone 5 concept video had you, for at least your first watch? Sadly all these videos are spoofs. They have to remain in our mobile dreams, for now.
