Bird Calling Photobomber Interrupts US Open Interview

Golf is probably one of the least interesting sports to watch, so it's hardly surprising that spectators try to liven things up.

Epic Cigar Guy may have been the first to photobomb a major golf competition, turning up behind Tiger Woods in a ginger wig, bushy moustache and chomping on an oversized cigar. Now, Cigar Guy may lose his position as Golf Photobombing Master, to a man who does bird impressions.

As US Open winner Webb Simpson was being interviewed, a fan leapt in front of the camera and began doing bird calls. Sporting an elaborate Union Jack hat and staring blankly into the distance, the interrupting eccentric was quickly bundled out of shot, allowing the interview to continue.

As yet there is no confirmation as to the man's identity, or that of the bird he was impersonating.

Currently sweeping the web, the video has been the subject of articles and blog posts from around the world. Winning over 3,000 shares, the clip is widely agreed to be the most interesting thing ever to happen at a golf tournament.

News Anchors Analyze A Turtle’s Diving Technique Rather Than The Golf That They Are Covering

You know a game of golf is boring when even the sports journalists covering it decide to focus their attention on a turtle instead.

At least that is what the reporters at American news network NBC thought when they were covering this round of golf live.

Apparently, a turtle had made its way across the green earlier in the game, and then it had tried to make its way back again into the water.

The turtle gained the attention of the audience, who were cheering it on as it was about to make its dive.

The commentators treated this as an Olympic event, and decided that the turtle was “short on the landing and that the splash was way too big”.

Now that is quality sports coverage.
