The new kid on the social media block has been making a lot of headlines recently. Now we all know that Pinterest is still the relatively new kid on the social media block, but it's now drawing some serious attention. 

The pinboard-style social photo-sharing website has proven a huge success since it was launched back in March 2010.

This latest infographic demonstrates the astonishing growth rate this network is experiencing. Referral rates to the site are now on a par with Twitter

While the demographic data still suggests a huge 80% of users are women, it would appear the women are pin-it mad.

My advice to you all is watch this space. With an a daily user increase of 145% in 2012, more and more people are taking to pinning as a form of sharing with their friends and social communities.
