Did the final Harry Potter film leave you with a bad taste in your mouth?

Well, let's face it, that bit at the end when they are all grown up with unconvincing facial hair and kids was painful, wasn't it?

So it is just as well HISHE (How It Should Have Ended) have come up with their own cartoon version of the popular film franchise.

Of course, their ending differs vastly from the original, but I don't want to spoil it for you.

All I can tell you is that it has something to do with magic or something. Oh, and Alan Rickman and a gun.

Personally, I have my own ending for Harry Potter, but as this is a family-friendly blog, I really can't share it.

So the second greatest movie franchise of all time (behind Police Academy, of course) has finally come to and end.

Yep, after a decade of spell-binding audiences across the globe, Harry Potter last week finally hung up his wizard's hat following the release of The Deathly Hallows: Part II, the eighth film in the series.

And, well, I think you will agree, it's been emotional, packed with more thrills and spills than a game of a quidditch.

But Harry Potter will never be forgotten. The movies will always be on during Bank Holiday Mondays; your kids will want to watch the box sets over and over again; but, most importantly, it will live on in the hearts of its fans.

Just like kids in the 70s and 80s became known as the 'Star Wars Generation', the children who grew up reading about J.K Rowling's troubled schoolboy wizard will be defined as the 'Harry Potter Generation'.

Not because it is about to end or anything - because we really want to see the film.

Top 10 Movie Trailers Of The Week

I am not the biggest cycling fan. In fact, after puberty kicked in, the only time I have ever been excited about a bike was when Olympian Victoria Pendleton posed naked on one for the front cover of Observer Sport Monthly.

At least that was until I saw Danny MacAskill. The show-off Scot became a YouTube sensation last year when his mate Dave Sowerby filmed the mechanic doing what could only be described as parkour on two wheels around Edinburgh. 

The video has attracted almost 22 million views and prompted 'Danny Megaskill' or 'Taggart', as he is imaginatively called (presumably because he is skillful and Scottish), to give up his day job to focus on riding full-time.

And it has certainly paid off for the 24-year-old, with Red Bull sponsoring him to do another short film, again filmed by mate Sowerby, called 'Way Back Home'.

The short film has attracted thousands of shares on Twitter, Facebook and the blogosphere, putting it at the top of this week's movie trailers list (although, technically, it should not even qualify).

It documents his journey from where he currently lives in Edinburgh, all the way to where he grew up in Dunvegan, on the Isle of Skye.

But we'll talk about Justin Bieber later, because the latest Harry Potter movie is out this weekend and predictably casting a spell over this week's Viral Video Chart for the most shared movie trailers.

In fact, the teen wizard's magic wand is so powerful, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 1 has managed to not only bag top spot, but also the number nine spot too. The greedy wizard.

Thankfully, there are another eight spots to fill. Unfortunately, one of these is filled by Justin Bieber. Incredibly, the creepy, dead-eyed Canadian puppet's new movie - not due to be released till next February - was at number one last week, just in case you were not dillusioned with humanity enough already.

But thanks to its imminent release, Harry Potter once again reigns supreme.
