It's A Black Xmas As ASOS's Murderous 'Asossin' Kills Christmas Clichés In New Campaign

Are you a bit of a Scrooge at heart? Do you cringe at Christmas songs, avoid mince pies like the plague, and dread the garish lights going up next door? Well, perhaps you should hire the guy off of ASOS's new campaign, who is slowly exterminating all Christmas clichés

The suave 'Asossin', who is, of course, dressed in ASOS men's finest, goes from house to house killing off all those who are committing crimes against Christmas

Victims include a man decorating his house in bright lights a little too over-enthusiastically. He, quite poetically, gets impaled by his decorations.

Next on the hit-list is a guy warbling away to Christmas songs in the tub, and another one bites the dust as the Asossin meets an irritating girl dressed as an elf, who he treats rather icily, you might say.

This unusual, dark, Christmas commercial is a breath of fresh air compared to the typical, jolly, 'we love Christmas' themes most brands adopt. The ad ends with an invitation to find out more, which leads to a site where you can 'Asossinate your mate' and grass on them in for any Christmas crimes they have committed.

The spot is set to a sinister rendition of Silent Night, which adds to the dark undertones of the clip. His victims really will be sleeping in heavenly peace.

All I can say is, someone's getting coal for Christmas this year.

ASOS Takes Interactive Shopping To Headspinning New Heights

What do you get when you put some mighty fine dancers, some slick threads and a really loud stereo in a disused warehouse? The answer is an awesome new promotional video.

To celebrate the launch of their latest Autumn/Winter '11 range, ASOS have developed a breathtaking high-tech user shopping experience, taking fashion advertising to new levels.

The video features street dancers Lil Buck, Baby Bang, Marcio, Zeus and Looney, each wearing clothes from the latest ASOS range whilst performing some pretty amazing dance moves.

The novelty with this campaign is the level of interaction. You can click on the the dancers' animated tags whilst they are still dancing and see exactly what they're wearing. You can also find links to buy the items and even find out more about each individual dancer.

The campaign is aimed solely at men, and is the first time ASOS has produced male-specific promotional material. The idea behind the design is to engage with fashion-conscious men through the medium of entertainment, providing not only a highly interactive experience, but also a look at latest trends from seven fashion capitals including London, New York, Paris and Tokyo.

To fully appreciate how great this campaign is, you have to check out the frankly incredible interactive version on the site.

Below is the non- interactive video version.
