Cute Video Of The Day: Dog Celebrates His Birthday Doing What He Loves Most

Sometimes the purest pleasures of life are also the simplest.

Imagine the thing you love most, and then imagine being allowed to do it on your own birthday – would that not make you extremely happy?

That is exactly what happened to Bunk the dog on his 2nd birthday. Apparently, apart from eating grass and sniffing other dogs' butts, Bunk loves nothing better popping balloons.

So what better gift than being released into a room that has over a hundred in it?

The video has been seen over 80,000 times to date, but we are guessing that this number is going to increase as the video starts trending on Reddit and Buzzfeed.

News Anchors Analyze A Turtle’s Diving Technique Rather Than The Golf That They Are Covering

You know a game of golf is boring when even the sports journalists covering it decide to focus their attention on a turtle instead.

At least that is what the reporters at American news network NBC thought when they were covering this round of golf live.

Apparently, a turtle had made its way across the green earlier in the game, and then it had tried to make its way back again into the water.

The turtle gained the attention of the audience, who were cheering it on as it was about to make its dive.

The commentators treated this as an Olympic event, and decided that the turtle was “short on the landing and that the splash was way too big”.

Now that is quality sports coverage.

PETA: What's This Monkey Business Going With Auto-Correct?

There is some monkey business going on with your
auto-correct function.

It's a clever idea by the guys at BBDO New York for PETA designed to help stop the exploitation of monkeys and apes in commercials.

The campaign targets the creatives who write the scripts for the ads themselves.

It means whenever they type the words 'monkey' or 'ape' or 'chimp', the sentence "...who was taken from his mother when only weeks old to act in front of the camera. During his training, the ape will be kicked, punched, and beaten to perform what you are just about to write. Don't let it happen" will appear automatically.

The note then supplies a link to NoMonkeyBusinessOn.tv, so people can get more details about the campaign.

Obviously, like a lot of agencies, BBDO has used primates in their ads previously. But it looks like they won't be anymore.
