Attention! Angry Birds Are Coming To London

Angry Birds will be visiting London tomorrow (Good Friday) in an all-new PR stunt!

Yep, according to a tweet on @samsungmobileuk, those loveable birds are coming to the streets of central London as part of an experiential stunt co-ordinated by Samsung and Rovio.

Samsung tweeted this - "Keep a look out, Samsung and Angry Birds will be paying London a visit later this week…", along with a teaser animation to spark interest.

Londoners who manage to find the Angry Birds will get to experience an all new innovative game on Samsung's 'ultimate entertainment device'. Whatever it is - it sounds too good to be missed!

This is exciting news from the brands, who recently partnered together for the release of Angry Birds Space. However, what is unknown is where and when the Angry birds will appear in London.

This is not the first time Angry Birds have hit the streets to engage and interact with their audience. In May 2011 T-Mobile partnered with Rovio to produce a 'Real Life' Angry Birds in Barcelona

The Spanish stunt brought the game to life, allowing members of the public to play a full-size version of the game.

Take a look at the trailer below and be sure to keep a lookout  for the campaign's exact location!

Rovio Engage Warp Drive For Angry Birds Ad

You'd have to be living on the moon to avoid hearing about Angry Birds. Now, with the latest version of the Rovio game, the birds may come knocking on your moon base door.

The catapult-fuelled quest for feathered revenge on egg-thieving pigs has become a gaming sensation.  With more than 700 million downloads, Angry Birds and its various spin-offs have become the most successful mobile app on this planet.

Not content with this success, the birds have flown the coop to conquer other planets in their latest release: Angry Birds Space. The game's release has had gamers in a flap, leading to the game's ad becoming a massive online hit.

The ad was released a day ahead of the game, introducing its plot and revamped characters. The birds are enjoying a peaceful life tending to their eggs when an ominous purple wormhole opens in the sky.  Through it comes an ice cube-like bird, who viciously guards a golden egg.

Following the icy avian through the wormhole is a giant mechanical claw, which snatches away the golden and earthly eggs alike. The birds, now very angry indeed, waste no time in catapulting themselves into the wormhole. Here a storm of space lighting transforms them into a new generation of feathered vigilantes.

The ad, put together by the game's developers Rovio, has gathered nearly 4 million views in just 5 days. Facebook alone saw the video shared over 75,000 times.

The game is a guaranteed hit and it seems that this ad was perfectly timed to get gamers excited about the new characters and gameplay. Whatever new powers the birds have up in the final frontier, there is a massive army of fans ready to help them fight those pesky piggies and snap up any videos they put out in the process.

The Angry Birds Are Alive And Smashing Up Barcelona In New T-Mobile Ad

It seems there is simply no escape from those pesky Angry Birds.

Not satisfied with invading just about every mobile phone on the planet (75 million people spend 16 years every hour playing it) , they are now very much the real deal in Barcelona, thanks to a new ad from T-Mobile.

The telecoms company has added a very clever new dimension to the game for the latest video in its Life's For Sharing campaign which literally brings the incredibly successful mobile game to life.

In the ad (below), users use the mobile platform to fire real birds at real pigs on real platforms. The pigs even pop on contact.

The action is even accompanied by the famous Angry Birds theme tune. It looks like a lot of fun. Hopefully it will be coming to London soon.

The trailer for Angry Birds Rio racked up 500,000 views over a weekend, I wonder how many this will do?
