Shop Staff Perform Trainer Tricks In Foot Locker Ad
There's nothing more exciting in life than buying a new pair of shoes. If you don't agree, that's because you're shopping in the wrong places. Imagine your flash new footwear flying across the shop, off the display wall, into the bag or on to your feet, skillfully juggled by a shop assistant, who could also be a circus clown.
The latest ad for Foot Locker isn't just about good value on fashionable footwear, it's about showmanship. Sneaker Skills takes place in a normal-looking branch of the sportswear chain, but the staff here are anything but ordinary.
Shot to look like the action is being filmed on a colleague's phone, the clip follows workers in the shop presenting customers with their new purchases. And they do it with a dazzling array of skilful tricks, flipping boxes into the air, balancing trainers on their foreheads and walking across the store on their hands.
The acrobatic assistants use their impressive performances to serve their amazed customers and generally make shopping the most fun you can have with just your socks on.
Filmed as one continuous shot, the ad by AMV BBDO took 300 takes to get right. The work has clearly paid off, the clip has won over 254,000 views.
The ad could spawn a new style of service in the retail industry, with every transaction accompanied by backflips and trick shots. We just hope it doesn't catch on in restaurants.
