Horror Director Rob Zombie Kills It With His Latest Commercial

As we all know, ants will soon rule the planet. Forget meteors, famines or atomic war, humans will soon be wiped out by an army of super-intelligent Formicidae the size of cows. Just ask any scientist (or anyone who has spent too long watching The Discovery Channel).
So it is only natural that we at least try and slow down our impending doom by depleting their numbers while they are still vulnerable.
The latest ad from ant killer Amdro takes it to the next level, thanks in no small part to the putrified mind of renowned horror director Rob Zombie and the grotesque remains of what used to be that really cute kid from hit TV show Gentle Ben.
This is not the first time Zombie has directed a commercial. His ad for Woolite, called 'The Torturer', somehow managed to combine his love of all things horror with soft fabrics.
Thankfully, killing ants is far more up Zombie's street - and he attacks the subject with relish. "Death Note" is Saatchi New York's first work for Amdro since winning its creative business last year, and it is certainly worth a watch, even if it does look a lot like the start of Se7en.
The focus of the new spot is a bald and dentally-challenged guy - played by Ron Howard's brother, Clint - who manically pieces together a threatening note that reads, "You will die ants".
It is brilliant fun. Watch it below...
