Ice Road Truckers is something of a phenomenon. The premise is simple enough: a documentary-style reality show which features a group of truckers who each year navigate the deadly temporary ice roads of Alaska to deliver much-needed supplies.
Over the years we've become accustomed to seeing the truckers handle blizzards, deal with crashes and try to regain control of their massive rigs as they slide out of control.
But this series our favourite band of truckers (barring the Eddie Stobart team, of course) have an entirely new challenge to deal - and it is quite a lofty challenge.
Rick Yemm, Alex Debogorski and Lisa Kelly have swapped the ice roads of Alaska for the mountain roads of the Himalayas.
The trailer shows just how much of a challenge this is. Sheer, unprotected cliff faces, crumbling roads, landslides and suicidal driving from the locals may just make this challenge too much for our North American truckers to bear.
Will Rick, Alex and Lisa be able to acclimatise to such a drastic change in driving and safety conditions? With trucks falling from the road before their eyes as the roads collapse under the weight of the heavy rigs, the trailer makes it clear that this will certainly be one to watch.
