Adidas has teamed up with former Premier League star Van Der Sar in an all new experiential ad campaign.
The commercial features the former Ajax and Manchester United goalkeeper saving penalty kicks taken by members of the public in Amsterdam.
However, there is one slight difference to the adidas goal than the ones he is normally used to - the Dutch star is saving shots while standing on a barge floating on the canals of Amsterdam.
Two Ajax professionals, Kolbeinn Sigborsson and Vurnon Anita, also turn up to test the 41-year-old's athleticism in retirement too.
Van Der Sar shows he's still got skills, as he makes a handful of great saves - however, a few shots from fans fly into the top corner, much to the suprise of the goalkeeping legend.
The ad is part of the brand's ongoing 'Ready To Run - adidas Is All In' campaign, where adidas has set up hundreds of real world and virtual challenges all around the world.
To win you have to be ‘Ready To Run’, with events launching at any moment, tipped via the brand's social media accounts throughout April.
The Amsterdam PR stunt ad has seen a great pick-up online, with over 190,000 views and 7,700 shares in only a few days. Watch the spot below...
