Take A Sad Song And Make It Better, At St Judes'

The song is known worldwide. But the hospital isn't. St Jude's patients and volunteers sing along to Hey Jude in this heart-warming clip to raise awareness about St Jude's research mission.
The video features some of the most adorable St Judes' patients, all putting their heart and soul into The Beatles' classic. Some Hollywood stars even make an appearance.
The likes of Robin Williams, Jennifer Aniston and sportsman Shaun White belt out the 'Na na na nas', alongside patients or in recording studios. These stars are said to be genuine supporters of the mission and have real connections to St Jude.
The montage of clips also features members of staff, including the research team, reminding the viewer what the video is actually promoting. A lot of the performers are wearing the signature #heystjude t-shirts, which you can also buy online. Proceeds go towards funding for research and development.
The touching ad has leapt up the Viral Video Chart and has accumulated 255,282 views and 92,728 shares in just 3 days.
The clip was put together to celebrate the hospital's 50th birthday and to publicise their work. Based in Memphis, United States, St Jude's mission is to 'advance cures, and means of prevention, for paediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment'. Unusually for the US, this hospital is completely free of charge for patients. It is primarily funded by public contributions.
To get involved, donate or just read more, visit the official St Jude website. And if these kids put a smile on your face today, 'make it better' today and donate. Or, make a donation of $35 and get a free #heystjude t-shirt.
