It might seem lazy for a company to release an ad that repeats a previous ad. And it sounds mind-numbingly dull for the clip to follow an advertising executive making a slideshow presentation about that old ad.
But wait! This is an ad for Google, and they don't do boring. Instead of a dull "how to" video about its online presentation maker, the tech giant is showing off its products in this Muppet-laden ad.
The star of the clip is Terrence, who is putting together a big presentation. There seems to be a lot riding on this and he wants to get it right. Using a wide range of Google products, he studies the popularity of an ad for Hangouts that stars The Muppets.
With the help of some smart tools, fun slides and the furry stars, Terrence nervously sets off to meet his audience of excited schoolkids.
Put together by Whirled USA, the clip isn't as popular as the Muppet clip, but it seems to have proved popular with advertising bloggers.
It must be jealousy, how often do they get to talk about The Muppets?
