Beer Ad Features Epic Car Chase...Without Any Cars

It's well known that you shouldn't drink and drive. This Australian ad takes this advice on board as a gang of bank robbers take the police, and their pints, on an adrenaline-fuelled chase around the streets.
The ad, for Carlton Draught, sees the gang celebrate their successful heist with a beer in the local. With a bag of stolen cash at their feet the boys, with glasses in hand, realise the pub is filled with police officers.
Scooping up the cash and their Carltons, they make a dash to their getaway car. But with pints in hand they can't open the doors, let alone drive without spilling their lagers. The gang set off running in formation, in the same positions they'd be sat if they'd taken the car.
When the cops finally catch up with the crocks, they've also brought their beers and are running like they are in their vehicles.
With a cheesy soundtrack and the crashes, skids and jumps if an 80s action movie, all that is missing from this car chase is the cars.
The police lay a roadblock, but the boys show no sign of stopping, prompting the lawmen to duck for cover as the gang calmly climb over the barriers.
The boys go for the climatic gap-in-the-bridge jump that would be worthy of a Hollywood blockbuster. Sadly, they don't clear the gap.
Happily, they land on the deck of a ship filled with beautiful women, and a bar serving drinking Carlton.
The ad, by Clemenger BBDO, has gathered a following as epic as the ad's soundtrack, with 325,300 views and 18,000 shares in just three days.
We'd love to meet the guy who came up with this awesome ad...and buy him a nice cold Carlton.
