NFL Get Quirky In New Thursday Night Football Ads

Ugly suits and questionable facial hair don't work for everyone, but there is something endearing about the new face of NFL.

The strange man, who has surely based his character on Anchorman's Ron Burgundy, wanders random, non-football-related settings, promoting NFL's new Thursday Night Football and the Fantasy Football competition.

Not the obvious candidate for a football spokesman, the quirky bearded gent kicks a cheerleader's pom pom, points with blue foam gloves and hangs out with a herd of sheep on a rural mountain range.

Putting on a medley of odd voices as he goes, he offers 'serious fun' to all who enjoy winning and high-fives amongst other things.

Since launching this week the videos, created by David & Goliath, have gained thousands of views each, proving that they really are, as the campaign suggests, 'serious fun'.
