Talking Vending Machine Gets Commuters In London To Act Like Loons For Free Coffee

What would you do for a free cup of coffee?

Well, judging by this new campaign from coffee brand Kenco, it seems caffeine-starved commuters will do just about anything.

They are prepared to sing out loud in front of strangers, pretend to hula-hoop, even hug and kiss the coffee machine for their free caffeine fix - all at the behest of a talking vending machine.

Yep, a talking vending machine. We are have already seen the outrageous acts of idiocy people will perform in the aid of something free. Only last month, Aussies were happily being ordered around by the talking Fantastic Delites machine.

And it seems our worst fears about the rise of the machine continues thanks to this new clever campaign from Leo Burnett, in London, for Kenco Millicano coffee, launched a few days ago.

They set up a talking vending machine in Soho Square, called Kenneth, that talks passers-by into doing some really stupid things in exhange for free coffee. The tagline: "Great coffee speaks for itself."

Of course, it is not really a talking vending machine, just a cheeky comedian with a microphone.

The ad has so far only attracted just over 1,000 views, but we think it deserves more.
