The Second Most Famous Pitt Calls For Pity in Virgin Mobile Ads

Poor Doug Pitt. While his brother is off living the life of luxury with Angelina and their 50 children, Doug has to settle for playing golf and appearing in Virgin Mobile Australia adverts.

Doug, who looks like the love child of his own buff brother and Zach Braff, has become the subject of the company’s latest ad campaign from Euro RSCG. After all, “Everyone deserves celebrity treatment. Even a celebrity’s non-celebrity sibling”.

As a mere photo journalist, the ‘second most famous Pitt in his family’ has to suffer through such horrific tasks as washing his own car and paying his own bills. Awful.

But all is well, thanks to Virgin’s mobile plans, which are a great deal for anyone, says the ad, even “regular guys” like Doug.

Virgin promotes its campaign as offering “celebrity deals at celebrity brother prices,” while Brad, who we assume doesn’t watch the peasant TV channels that will air his brother's campaign, pays no worry to the cost of his phone bill.

Doug light-heartedly mocks his 'un-luxury' life, and you can’t help but feel bad for the nerdy Pitt sibling. However, in reality, he not just a photo journalist but also the owner of ServiceWorld Computer Centre, and a real estate company, meaning he probably doesn’t need some bargain Virgin phone deal either.

The video has racked up 335,389 views and 3,247 shares since it was launched a week ago.
