Web Gets In A Flap Over Hiccupping Bat

Bats aren't exactly known for being the cutest animals in the kingdom. In fact, they are seen by many as being diseased, dirty and even evil.

However, the flying mammals may see their image get an overhaul as this clip of a baby bat with hiccups sweeps the web.

YouTuber Jim Selleck uploaded the clip 3 years ago, but it's only now taking off. Selleck is shown rescuing the tiny bat and feeding it spoonfuls of water.

After a few sips, the impossibly cute little guy gets an attack of squeaky hiccups. The Little Brown Bat (even the species names are cute!) struggles on through his spoonful of water while Selleck jokes about being reported for animal cruelty.

Cruel or cute, the video has become an online hit, winning over 33,000 views and 3,000 shares. Appearing on some of the web's biggest blogs, the clip is sure to become a hit.
