Lottery Funding Makes Team GB Dream Come True In Family Saga

Britain's athletes are warming up for the Olympics, when all the years of committed preperation will be put to the test. But however many training miles a sportsman runs, or hours they spend in the pool, they may need a little extra help.
This nostalgic ad features Team GB 800m runner Jenny Meadows and the story of how, with a little help from the National Lottery, she could achieve the success her mother dreamed of.
The clip uses actors to tell the story of Jenny's mum, Barbara, and how her ambitions of competitive running went unfulfilled. As a young girl in the 40s Barbara sprints along the beach, as the years roll by, she goes to work and her dreams are lost forever.
But things are different for Jenny, who has the opportunities and support that her mother never did. With a lot of training and a little help from Lottery funding, Jenny races to victory on the track and makes her mother proud.
Put together by AMV BBDO, the ad is due to run on British TV and has already been appearing in articles online.
The ad is a great illustration of just how much work, and how many dreams are invested into every Teamg GB athlete.
