Samsung Ad Mixes Work And Ahem....Play

Business trips can be tough. The combination of jetlag, dull meetings and being away from those you love can make for a miserable few days. So it must be heartwarming to use your phone to watch the film your cute, beloved children made for you. And it must be amazing to watch the other video your gorgeous wife made you...
The Samsung Galaxy S III is an exciting bit of tech, fully loaded with all the latest tricks. One, in particular, has had particular praise: the S Beam touch-to-share function, which allows users to share content by touching their phones together. The latest ad shows one particular benefit.
Picture the perfect, all-American family outside their beautiful, happy home. The man of the house is bidding his wife and two pretty little daughters goodbye as a he gets into a taxi to leave on a business trip.
The two little girls excitedly tell their doting father that they made him a film to watch while he is on his long, boring flight. Using the S Beam, his pretty, slender, blonde wife instantly shares the video with him.
As the kids scamper off to play, she shares another video with him. One that he shouldn't watch on the plane. He's a little slow to grasp what this video might be, but after a few raised eyebrows and enough nudge-nudge, wink-wink he finally figures out the nature of the video he's just been given.
It's an interesting way to use the phone, jumping from happy-families to yummy-mummy-behaving-badly. It's certainly captured the imagination of online audiences, earning over 8.7 millions views.
It's not exactly surprising that this ad is dong well. It's funny, surprising and has a very attractive actress talking dirty. With nearly 17,000 shares, the clip has done very well to balance the suggestive content with subtle delivery, making it just about safe enough to share at work.
This clever, well-delivered ad is bound to spawn a slew of not-so-classy imitators.
