Cat Goes On Suicide Mission For New Toyota Corolla

The new Toyota Corolla is to die for. Literally, in the case of this hilarious cat.

Of course, kitties are known to rule the Internet. The Cravendale ads, the OMG Cat or Keyboard Cat have all set the web alight. But in moggy 'Allorac', the star of the latest ad for the Toyota, we may have a brand new contender for top cat.

The poor kitty falls in love with the new Toyota Corolla on a trip to the vets, and then does anything in its power to get back in the car.

The feline is quite inventive: throwing itself under lawn mowers, attacking dogs five times its size and falling into cement mixers. Each time, Alloroc's mission goes to plan and he ends up back in the Corolla, purring away happily.

With a romantic French song playing in the background, we watch Alloroc's love grow, and his quest for injuries become even more extreme. But, finally, Alloroc takes it one step too far and his little life comes to a furry finish. But, as we know, cats have more than one life.

The irresistible car really does seem to be the cat's whiskers. It has a sporty aerodynamic design and new features such as a reversing camera and a 'smart' entry and start system. The website even has a page dedicated to the star of the ad and allows fans to download wallpapers and order car stickers featuring Alloroc.

The ad, which is being aired in New Zealand, could be seen as controversial by cat-lovers, but it must be taken with a pinch of salt. I'm certain that ad agency Saatchi & Saatchi would not have injured any cats in the making of this. I would say that it was simply curiosity which (almost) killed the cat.
