London Gets Its Own Sun Thanks To Clever Stunt From Tropicana

Who says the sun never shines in London? Sure, England's capital city may be famous for its gloomy mornings (and afternoons for the matter), but all that changed this week thanks to a clever publicity stunt from Tropicana.
The fruit juice manufacturers collaborated with British art collective Greyworld to ensure that Londoners were given their very own drop of sunshine. No, really, their very sun, in fact.
OK, when we say 'Londoners', we really mean the commuters and tourists that were lucky enough to be around Trafalgar Square on Monday morning.
And when we say their very own 'sun', what we really mean is a high-tech orb, 30,000 times bigger than a football, and with enough power to not only generate the output of 60,000 lightbulbs, but also be seen from space.
The 'Trafalgar Sun', which took six months to create and is part of Tropicana's new "Brighter Mornings" campaign, was erected at 6.51 am and was finally dismantled at 7.33pm, giving people more than enough time to enjoy some rare winter sunshine.
The only pity is that, although it gave some Londoners a rare bit of sunshine, it was no winter warmer. The Trafalgar Sun managed only a measly core temperature of 212 degrees Fahrenheit, compared with the real sun, which is 10,292 degrees Fahrenheit on its surface and 27,000,032 degrees Fahrenheit at its core.
Still, nice try!
