What would you do if you walked through a mall and saw some rubbish? Ignore it or pick it up and put it in the bin two feet away?
Well, in Canada they take littering very seriously. So much so, thousands will stand up and applaud you if you decide to do the latter (or should that be litter?).
Or at least that is what happens in this innovative flashmob video, created to build awareness about recycling.
It features a woman getting a little more than she bargained for when she opted to do the right thing and put a discarded bottle in the nearest trash can.
We can only assume that the people who ignored it later had wet sponges thrown at them afterwards.
The campaign seems to have done the trick too. The video has been watched almost one million times in just over 10 days.
