Cravendale recently enjoyed some time in the spotlight after its Cat’s with thumbs ad, and now Athenos (a Kraft Foods brand) is trying to follow suit.
With Yiayia, a Greek grandmother who always speaks her mind and never sugar coats anything, Athenos is slowly making a name for themselves.
Athenos have launched three ads to date, and the common theme has been to contrast traditional Greek family values against slightly more liberal values in a hilarious way.
Poking fun at stay-at-home dads as well as the modern woman are bold moves, but they have paid off so far and the majority of the reactions towards the campaign have been positive.
