The Witness Is The First Movie In The OuterNet

If you love smartphones, FourSquare and thrillers, then this is for you.

Smartphones are becoming more and more sophisticated. In fact, some of the things that you can do with them now are pretty amazing.

But the latest innovation created by TV channel 13th Street Universal is a work of genius. They have developed a game/movie for the German market that requires the viewer to engage and become a part of the movie.

The game/movie, called The Witness, integrates the newest technology with an interactive mix between a movie and a game.

Those taking part travel to different locations in Berlin and "check in" in with their smartphone (like Foursquare) in order to see what happens in the movie. They then collect clues about where next check-in location is.

The story revolves around Russian prostitute Nadia, who is abducted and it is your duty as 'The Witness' to find out what has happened to her.

Your success all depends on how well you collect clues and whether you make it to check-in locations on time. Failure to do so could result in you losing Nadia, or worse. If you are caught, it's game over.

If you are keen to participate (and speak German), then take a look at the official website for more info.
