Guinness Ad Tells Us How To Give The Perfect Man Hug on St Patrick's Day

OK, so you think you are ready for St Patrick's Day. You have the novelty hat, you have starved yourself of alcohol for the last week to help prepare your liver and you have the Irish flag painted on your face.

But, wait a minute, this is St Paddy's Day, officially 'the friendliest day of the year', where at some point men will be called upon to show appropriate displays of public affection towards other men (it's the law, apparently).

What do you do? Just how do you share a friendly hug without your mates questioning your motives?

Well, fear not. Guinness has put together this rather handy ad to lay down just what are the acceptable ground rules for a man hug.

These include adopting the 'A-frame' position and a firm pat on the back to show that you are done. Thanks Guinness. 

Now we just need them to make an instructional video about how to deal huge hangovers and coming up with some very good excuses for your drunken antics.
